ATLANTA, GA. - Following a MVP weekend at the 2016 Eurobasket Summer League, Kristina King (180-G/F-92, college: Richmond) has been invited to attend a private workout with the WNBA's Atlanta Dream.

King was on top of three major categories this weekend, finishing ESL averaging 14 points, 4 assists and 5 rebounds (All ranked in the top 5).

She recently returned from the 2016 Copa Mitchell Cup in Santiago, Dominican Republic where she was named MVP.

'I want to thank the Atlanta Dream for inviting me to workout, and I am excited to have the opportunity to go and prove myself,' King said. 'I appreciate how the coaches have prepared me for this, and I plan to work as hard as I can to hopefully earn the opportunity to play for a great coach like Coach (Michael) Cooper.'

Following a standout college career at University of Richmond, King earning A10 All-Conference honors three-times.

King would then move on to play in Europe (Iceland, Romania). She would later earn Eurobasket.com All-Import honors along with a league championship. Last that summer she was selected to play for Team USA in the William Jones Cup in Taiwan. She was named to the All-Tournament 2nd Team.

This season Kristina King was drafted by the GIE Lady Matrix of the (WUBA), the top minor league program in the country. King was advised to stay and improve her stock as a professional basketball player.

"It was a very difficult choice for me not to return to Europe", said King. People called me crazy but we had a great plan and it has work to perfection.

Kristina King is currently the top scorer in the WUBA averaging 22.1ppg. She on the WNBA radar and has over 7 offers to return to Europe for the fall of 2016.
