Ethan Murray
Ozarks All American guard Ethan Murray (188-G-93, college: Coll.of the Ozarks) scored 12 points and secured three steals in a 33-13 1st quarter against Weser Baskets Bremen/BTS Neustadt to start the route on Sunday afternoon. He would add 18 points over the final 3 quarters as Eurobasket Select eclipses 100 points in a 41 point victory. Four others scored in double figures for ESL Select, all off the bench, as Zack Leeper (193-G) scored 17, Dayton Mickens (203-F-91, college: Ark.-Monticello) 13, Derrick Tony Seldon (196-F/C-93, college: W.Connecticut) 10, and Josh Biber (196-G/F-91, college: Brown) scoring 10 as well.

The first unit started quickly behind the shooting of Murray that consisted of Josiah Coleman (196-F-94, college: N.Dakota), Don Quarles (193-F/G-92, college: Paine), Ajani Santos (201-F/C-94), and Bruce Marshall (208-C-94). On the first play of the game the ball was entered into Marshall on the block where he quickly passed out of the double team to find an open Murray for 3. After another Murray jump shot, Quarles would get inside for an easy slam to the pleasure of the friendly Bremen audience. The route was on as the lead quickly ballooned to 20 plus points.

Bremen did not back down moving into the 2nd quarter as they played Eurobasket evenly in the period. Nick Hein (198-F) and Andreas Bruns (197-G/F) were a handful for all night but against 11 American players it was just too much to handle. Eurobasket was without point guards Jeremiah Dunnings (183-PG, college: William Carey) and Jack Montague (183-PG, college: Yale) which resulted in much bigger lineups across the first and second units. The size and pressure put a strain on Bremen's offense causing 23 turnovers (steals: Murray 4, Cole 3, Seldon 3) and eight blocked shots (Wise 3, Mickens 2, Seldon 2).

Eurobasket opened the 3rd quarter on an 18-0 run that pushed the lead from 20 to 38. The lead would grow to as high as 47 points in what was just a dominant performance from the second unit. Maurice Cole (182-PG-90, college: Dixie St.) led the unit with a flurry of open court spins and crosses that led to two 3 point FG's for Leeper and five assists overall to lead the team. Eurobasket is now 3-0 on it's 10 game tour schedule. Next up is a game tomorrow night August 29th against Grevenbroich.

Notes: Murray, Biber, and Santos each had 7 rebounds to lead the team...Eurobasket committed 28 fouls in the game including foul outs for Coleman and Quarles...Wise led the team with 3 blocks...Eurobasket connected on 11 3 point FG (Murray 5, Leeper 3, Coleman, Wise, Seldon)....Leeper, Cole, Murray, and Biber each had +25 +/- ratios.
