La Avanzada 79 - Loranca 76
The first day of official games in ESL Madrid was remarkable! After the first day in which teams had registration and team practices players rested and began official games on the second day. Eurbasket and Fuenlabrada can absolutely say with certainty that the Eurobasket Summer League in Madrid, Fuenlabrada is a success and a first class summer league is officially back in Fuenlabrada! There were over 45 scouts and close to 200 spectators in attendance. The talent level is extremely high here and the week should be more than exciting with teams from all over Spain and Europe coming into Fuenlabrada pavillion.
The first game of Eurobasket Summer League has started its phase of competition this afternoon at 17.30 hours with the game between the teams La Avanzada vs. Loranca.
The match started very even with an average of two points difference on the scoreboard during the first quarter that ended with a 23-25 to the visitors (La Avanzada). Range was extended up to at halftime (35-45) thanks in part to the 12 points scored by Chris Kearney (201-F) and the great contribution of John DiBartolomeo (183-PG, agency: Duran International) which marked with five defensive rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 10 points. The rest served to motivate players Loranca who took the second half to fight for a comeback that was really close. Although the home team at any time failed to rise above the lead, took partial in its favor the last two quarters (15-12, 26-22), with the outstanding performance of Ashton Pitts (201-F) with total of 10 rebounds and 22 points. In conclusion, a very intense game which gave the spectators and scouts a very tight end in which a 15 seconds left was recorded just one point difference in the score ( 76-77) to end the advanced team victory by 79-76.

El Naranjo 86 - El Arroyo 72
To continue the afternoon session, at 19.30 teams El Arroyo and El Naranjo played to 86-72 match in favor of El Naranjo. From the first moment both teams have set the pace of play with a flurry of activity has led to a very distributed contribution among all players in the first ten minutes (24-18). Until the end of the second quarter (39-36) have not been able to highlight individual performances that have been matched in both templates with a score of 10 points, for Alexis Elsener (194-G/F-88) team-Arroyo and Carl Ona-Embo (185-PG-89) of El Naranjo.
In the second part of the two sets have continued to develop a fast game and aggressive character. Unlike in the first twenty minutes, in which the domain of the scoreboard has changed from one team to another, in the second half of El Naranjo has been done with the two sets (15-18, 17-21) that have allowed move from a tight game of 56-57 in the third quarter at 14 points of the final electronic difference (72-86).
