Emmanuel Little
#1. Emmanuel Little (196-F-85, college: N.Dakota, currently plays in Mexico) led Rayos de Hermosillo to a victory over the sixth-ranked Mineros de Cananea (14-18) 88-83 in the Mexican CIBACOPA in Tuesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Little recorded 25 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 34 minutes. Rayos de Hermosillo (26-6) is placed first in the CIBACOPA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Little has relatively good stats this year: 12.7ppg, 5.4rpg and 3.2apg in the 42 games he played so far. He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. In 2008 Little went to the ESL camp in Chicago playing for London.

Akeem Wright
#2. Akeem Wright (200-F/G-84, college: Kansas St., currently plays in New Zealand), who plays in the New Zealand NBL could not help Otago OceanaGold Nuggets (11-3) in their last game on Friday. He also added 6 rebounds. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Wright is ranked third on the list of the top scorers in the league. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Wright averages: 21.7ppg, 7.6rpg, 2.9apg and 1.7spg. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Four years ago Wright took part in the ESL camp in New York playing for Team Kiev.

After perhaps one of the toughest games of the tour for the Eurobasket Select Team against Corio Bay the previous night, you would wonder how the team would respond the next day. The gym in Corio Bay was blistering hot and the contest was tough, but all the players went back to the team hotel to rehydrate, eat a good meal and rest. The next morning the team left for Ballarat bright and early, the drive over was very nice and everyone was well rested for the 4:30 pm tip. The start of the B...   [read more]
