Josh Gross
MVP: Josh Gross (201-G/F-83, college: NC-Greensboro)

Josh Gross excelled at both ends of the floor this week in the first session of Las Vegas ESL. His team did not win the championship, but Josh always had his team in a position to win. Josh is a player with great experience who can play multiple positions and plays extremely hard. We expect Josh to be a great D-League player this season or excel overseas.

Randy Graham (191-G-88, college: Ft.Valley St.) is a decent sized combo guard who helped his Kiev team come back and wins to be a major force in the playoffs. However, it did not work out; Randy was a key factor in how well they played down the stretch. He is a strong guard, who can score the ball and play defense. We look for Randy to play in entry level position overseas this year.

Amadou Mbodji (208-F-86, college: Jacksonville St.) was probably one of the best big men here in Vegas first session. He is a versatile big man who runs the floor well, blocks shots and can score around the basket. We look for Amadou to get his career back on track most likely in Asia this season.

Dana Kendrid (193-F-88) is another player who plays extremely hard and helps his team a great deal to win. His team won the championship and he was a major reason they were able to be the number one seed and undefeated Dublin. Dana has major interest from a few teams in the PBL and NBL in Canada and we expect him to have a very good season.

Chad July (206-C-90) is a very gifted big man who does not need to have the ball in his hands all the time to be a great teammate. He helps his teams in many ways even when he is on the bench with his tremendous leadership. He is very good around the basket offensively and defensively and runs the floor extremely well. I would expect Chad to be a mid-level European player who will look to advance in the coming years.

Nick Washburn (208-C-91, agency: Duran International, college: Hillsdale) is a true center who is very long, athletic and a very smart player. The big man from the state of Illinois was one of the best players in Madrid ESL earlier this summer. Nick had a very successful college career and we expect him to have a very successful career overseas which will more than likely start in Spain this season.

Lorenzo McClelland (190-G-87, college: Rochester, MI) is a dynamic guard who helped his team wins the championship with Helsinki. He was one of the key leaders for them in their quest for the title. He can score and defend and we look for him to get on track and advance his career to another level overseas.

Carl Blair (188-PG) was a very productive college point guard who put up great numbers at Prairie View A&M. Carl still is showing how good he is as he showed that he could run a team with precision and with great leadership. Carl is going to be a very high level point guard overseas who would be better off starting out in the D-League his first season as he would establish himself right away as a very high level guard.

Donald Vaughn (195-F-90, college: Va.Wesleyan) played extremely hard here in Vegas and with great intensity. He led his team with hustle plays and transition baskets. He was outstanding on the defensive end as well and was able to draw the interest of several overseas scouts. We look to see Donald enter pro ball from an entry level position overseas this year.

Brandon Beasley (196-F-88, college: William Penn) is very gifted athlete who has a lot of tools to excel at the next level. Brandon was the MVP of Indianapolis ESL and was very good here in Vegas as well. We look for Brandon to play in the d-league or entry level Europe to get started this season.

Eurobasket Select Team Splits Double-Header with Cuxhaven and Stade - 1 month ago
The Eurobasket Select Team split their double header on Saturday with a win of Vfl Stade and a defeat to Cuxhaven. The first game of the day that featured 7 members of the Eurobasket team battled all the way to the finish but came up just short. Cuxhaven went on a big run in the second quarter as Zach Gordon (203-F-93, college: Cal Poly - SLO), Drew Sears (209-C), and Killven Samuel (188-G-89, college: Northeastern St.) all got into foul trouble putting a strain on the 7 man rotation. 'It...   [read more]

Marshall's Floater lifts Eurobasket Select to 73-72 Win over Dusseldorf - 2 months ago
The Eurobasket Select Team had a dramatic come from behind win in ART Giants Duesseldorf on Wednesday night as Alvernia's 6'5 G/F Marquis Marshall (196-F-93, college: Alvernia, PA) went coast to coast for a game winning floater with just 1 second left on the clock. With Eurobasket down by two, Nick Trisko (203-C, college: Spalding) got fouled after securing a critical offensive rebound amongst 4 Dusseldorf defenders. Trisko would split the pair to put cut the lead to one. With 10 seconds...   [read more]
