  Eurobasket Women’s Tour tops CPN, Maia Basket in night cap doubleheader - June 1, 2024

The Eurobasket Tour for Women improved to 3-1 on their current trip as players seek opportunities to make a professional team. The opening game of the doubleheader featured a short matchup with CPN following the postponement of Wednesday’s game due to maintenance issue. Hope Jordens (13 pts, 11 reb) and Antanisha Wade (F) (15 pts, 11 reb) each recorded double-doubles while Denaj’za Jackson did a great job running the offense dishing out 7 assists. Christina Passerell (180-F, college: John Carroll) (10 pts, 4 reb, 4 stl) and Jzane Cavalli-Money (170-G-1998, college: UMFK) (8 pts, 6 reb) were next in line in the player efficiency rankings.
In the 2nd game against Maia Basket the women stringed together the best stretch of basketball so far together with Madison Shelton (173-G-1998, college: Ranger CC) leading the way with a 11 point-12 rebound double-double. Passerell led all scorers with 14 points, while Jackson (13 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast), Shelton, and Roxkel Washington (185-F) (8 pts, 7 reb, 2 blk) each finished a top the PER Rankings for this game. Other top producers included Wade (10 pts, 4 reb, 3 stl), Jordens (6 pts, 8 reb), and Sabrina Vlahovic (5 pts, 7 reb).
Through 4 games, here are some of the categorical leaders. Hope Jordens is the overall leading in the Player Efficiency rankings with a 14.5 game average. Christina Passerell is the points leader at 11 per game and steal leader at 2.5 per game, Roxkel Washington leads in rebounds at 8 per game, Denaj’za Jackson leads with 3 assists per game, Antasnisha Wade has the highest +/- average.
The women will match up with Academico on Saturday evening in the next of their game, we expect big things coming from Anna Pyne and the rest of the Eurobasket Women.
