This was an impressive game for American Malik Riddle (193-G-1999, college: HSU) as the 25 year old guard had 40 points making him tied for highest scorer in the world when his team Athleta beat the Hibernians 89 to 75. Riddle is the best scorer in the league.
He took part in the Eurobasket Summer League in Atlanta last year and it helped him gain more exposure and find a contract overseas. The summer league is an interesting option for the players who just graduated from university and want make it professional basketball.
Among many awards his team made it the GAC Tournament Semifinals in 2021 and 2023. He was selected the Eurobasket Summer League All-Tournament First Team in Atlanta in 2023 during his college time. He was selected as the All-GAC Honorable Mention in 2022.
Riddle was awarded Player of the Week in the Maltese League II times already this season.
